Let's Make This Go Viral! Watch the video of Jeran proving ISS:
1. GIF Version
With the ISS whizzing around the globe, there's an ISS transit somewhere pretty much all the time. But for a given location they are relatively rare to pass directly overhead. However, if you enter your location in the ISS Transit finder it will show you upcoming transits that are nearby, often just a short drive away.
The ISS is a great way of verifying the reality of the ISS, and hence its orbits around the globe, and the scale of the distance to the sun and moon.

1) Show it is high
10,000 meters 400 kilometers (100 KM away)
Can't see the plane.
2) Measure the speed.
3) See the structure as it transits move or sun

Orbits prove the earth is a sphere.

From the ISS, the entire Earth appears in a very wide 140° angular distance. There are not many cameras that can capture the whole earth from the ISS, and none of them are rectilinear. It is the reason a fisheye lens is often used to take photos from the ISS.
The Earthrise photograph from the Apollo 8 mission was taken using a camera with a 250mm lens and a 70mm sensor size, with an effective field of view of 17°. On the ISS, the same camera will not nearly be able to fit the entire Island of Great Britain.

The ISS is one of humankind’s greatest achievements, but there is no video showing its construction from start to finish. Flat-Earthers use the fact to “disprove” the existence of the ISS. In reality, the ISS was constructed gradually in years. There is no such video the same way there is none for New York City, for example. It does not mean New York City does not exist.

Flat-Earthers reject the existence of satellites. They are wrong. To prove the existence satellites, we can attempt to take pictures of the ISS when an ISS transit happens, or the ISS passes in front of the Sun or the Moon.
Practically all satellites are small and very far. Trying to see a satellite is like trying to recognize a car in New York City when we are above Washington D.C. However, the ISS is a relatively large satellite: it is as large as a football field. The ISS is large enough and close enough for us to see its details using a telescope or a high zooming camera lens.
There’s another problem. The ISS is moving across the sky very fast. Even if we have a high zooming camera, the ISS is way too fast for us to aim and get a decent picture. A solution to the problem is to observe the ISS when it passes in front of the Sun or the Moon. The Sun and the Moon move relatively slowly, and we would have no problem tracking them, even without specialized equipment. The ISS moves very fast across the Sun or the Moon. In most cases, an ISS transit happens less than two seconds. It requires careful planning to take pictures of ISS transits.

ISS Exists - No CGI, Not a high altitude plane, not a balloon
It can be filmed as Jeranism has done, and its velocity AND height can be calculated by anyone seeking the truth.
Flat earther's claim the ISS is not in space. Can we prove them wrong?
YES!!
And we can confirm the ISS is indeed up at around 1.3 million feet, 420 kilometers or 260 miles. These heights are impossible for any plane to reach!

We had a near overhead pass of the ISS on the 22nd of May. I used the signal from the Radio Repeater on the Station and Acquisition / Loss of Signal to calculate the altitude of the station, and time over distance as well as the doppler shift to calculate the speed of the station.
I am pleased to announce I verified the speed and altitude of the ISS within 10% of the stated values. It is clearly nearly 400 KM above the surface of the earth and moving at over 7 KM/Sec.
This speed was calculated as if the ISS passed directly over my antenna. It passed well South of me, as a result I have under calculated the speed. I will have a Part 2 where I show how to correct the velocity of the ISS for a non-overhead pass.

During astronauts' spacewalks, they are often photographed or filmed, but not regularly does someone capture a spacewalk from the surface of Earth.
German astrophotographer Sebastian Voltmer snapped a high-quality image of the ISS that shows NASA astronaut Raja Chari and European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Matthias Maurer out on a spacewalk sometime last week. |

Two-stage amateur rocket flight to 293,488 ft (55.6 mi/89.5 km). This rocket is called MESOS (short for mesosphere) because it is designed to fly there. The mesosphere is the third layer of Earth's atmosphere situated between 31 and 53 miles (50-85 km) above the surface. The amazing part about this rocket is it reached this altitude on less than 41,000 N-s of total impulse (full O-class high power rocket motor)! Capable of carrying the equivalent of a 16 oz can of beer/energy drink as a payload, this rocket flew two GoPro Hero 9s with modified rectilinear lenses. Both stages are recovered via parachutes and are reusable. This video covers the development and the launch of this record breaking rocket. I hope you enjoy it!
Kip Daugirdas’s video “56 Miles (90 km) Above Earth – Successful Amateur Rocket Launch” shows the curve of the horizon. This is visible when the horizon is on either side of the center of the frame. The camera is a GoPro with a rectilinear lens.
The horizon’s curve is easily visible no matter where the horizon is in relation to the center of the frame. Here is a link queued up to the horizon above center of frame: https://youtu.be/4QsEPEhq5yk?t=501
Here is a link queued up to the horizon below the center of frame: https://youtu.be/4QsEPEhq5yk?t=494

Mr Sensible conducted a high altitude ballon experiment that contained 3 cameras, a pressure and a temperature sensor and a GPS device. The goal was to record pressure, temperature and altitude, as well as to show the curvature of the earth to an altitude up to 39,000 m. The altitude was almost reached.
The Front Camera with the 2 strings in the field of view was a Firefly 8SE 90°, set to a diagonal field of view of 51.6°, see Measuring the Field of View of the Front Camera. This camera has only a slight barrel distortion, which Walter Bislin corrected with a Lightroom setting of 8 of 100, so that the 2 strings are straight and the image below shows the undistorted reality.
No Fisheye, slight barrel distortion EASILY corrected (As walter has done)
Field of View Narrow (curve would be more obvious in a larger field of view
Not only is horizon curved as expected on the globe but it drops from eye level 6.3 percent
MAGE 2 on youtube and MAGE 3 coming soon
Then Walter imported the image into his Curvature App, set the observer altitude to 38,706 m as indicated in the video and set the field of view to 51.6° as measured from the camera.

Misleading Flat Earth High Altitude
Jason Kirby Blue Origin - https://youtu.be/OSWDX_JilvM
The blue origin footage has been proven to be false. Walter Bislin did an in depth analysis of that and proves very conclusively that it is not accurate. When you correct properly for lens distortion, the curve is there as exactly as modeled and expected.
